Since 1987 the band Kadash forms the heart of the circus orchestra of the Zurich based circus-theatre "Federlos – Featherless". During the long tours of this unique and amazing circus throughout Europe and Africa the band has developed a specific musical language – "the language of a wild gender of nomads that connects unscrupulously all the diversity of musical experience", the band writes about itself. Yeah, no sound is safe from being taken, changed, replayed, it may be rock, free, jazz, circus, film or theatre music, folk, urban noise – Kadash melts it all down to a rough substance of crossover unifying the idea of the Savannah with the feeling of the real urban life. The title of the third CD by Kadash is "Featherless" and it means a conception as well. This music wants to open pictures of the circensic theatre in the listener’s phantasy, build up an acoustic scenery and demolish it right away, confuse his inner eye through mystic dances and never before seen figures. The fragrance of musical sawdust. Kadash’s focus is everywhere, it looks outside, checks the world, and reflects the richness of feelings, impressions, ideas – without loosing its direction! "Featherless", CD named after the circus, has a beginning (really!) and an end (wow!). In between id couldn’t care less about your heart, stomache or (dancing) feet! |
